Welcome to the DotNet Wiki

Welcome to the DotNet Wiki, a growing repository of knowledge about DotNet.

A couple of words about this Wiki.  It's not a completely open Wiki - some pages (such as this one) are locked and can only be edited by Administrators.  Most pages are unlocked though, and you should feel free to update these pages. Find out more about WikiSecurity.

If you see a mistake or a typo, fix it (push the 'Edit' button to put the page in WYSIWYG edit mode).  If you want to add anything about DotNet, go ahead.

The other important thing to know is that, in any Wiki page in a Wiki, a WikiName is used to auto-generate links to other Wiki pages.  A WikiName is simply a word of mixed capitalisation.  When this WysiWiki? encounters a WikiName, it checks to see if a page with that WikiName exists.  If it does, the WikiName is linked to that page and clicking that link takes you to that page.  If there is no page with that WikiName, the name is followed by a linked '?' which will take you to a blank page to allow you to create a Wiki page with that name.  It sounds complicated, but it's all very simple in practice.

If you want to contribute and can't think what to add, check out our WantToContribute page.

We have a WikiSandbox available.  If you just want to try out the Wiki without harrassing regular users (and without deleting some important content) please go here.  It's a great way to test the WYSIWYG functionality too.  Check out the WikiSandbox.

As well as using the auto-generated links, you can also view the:
