Before I forget to mention this again, check out the new view of the directory on AllPodcasts.com.  I think I'm giving up on the categories chosen by podcasters themselves and going with imposing a taxonomy (sounds fancy but I'm just using the categories that iTunes uses at the minute).

One neat thing is that there's an RSS view of the data too.  I might have a cool demo using that soon.

I've just put up a new logo and layout for AllPodcasts.com.  I like the brightness of the logo, but I'm still not sure the style's right.  Any suggestions would be welcomed.  Sample designs in photoshop would be even more welcomed...

And I've just put up some one-click subscription stuff for podcasts, if you're into that kind of thing.

I've just put together five bookmarklets for AllPodcasts.com.  They let you run searches, auto-detect feeds and automatically run lookups in the AllPodcasts.com directory and all sorts of other stuff.

They really are cooler than a snowman's cold bits.  Check them out.

There do seem to be some pretty nasty database problems over on my other site, AllPodcasts.  There seem to be a lot of timeouts when trying to run queries, even if they're (to my mind) fairly simple.

I'm not sure what the root cause of it is (own up - who said "It's your crummy stored procedures"?), but I'm trying to get to the bottom of it.  AllPodcasts may just need its own hardware sooner rather than later - it's just running on a friends machine at the minute.
