‘This Book Is Full Of Spiders’ by David Wong

“Silly, Made Me Laugh”
Score: 5/5

This seems to be an obviously-silly book about Bad Things Happening To Drop Outs, but it’s not. I think it tries to pretend it is, but there’s more depth to it than I expected from the initial outward sillyness.

There were some laugh-out-loud moments for me (which is fairly rare) so I enjoyed some of the gags. The story was fun too (it’s a nice zombie romp). But the underlying themes were more thoughtful, and that made it all the more enjoyable.
